How much do wedding flowers cost?

A gorgeous full floral wedding arch

A natural style floral arch from a May wedding

This is such a tricky topic to tackle as for me, every wedding is completely bespoke and therefore pricing can vary - I don’t have a set cost for bouquets, arches, anything - it depends completely on the individual wedding as sizes, styles and types of flowers can all vary.

That said, I know how difficult it is as a couple to budget for flowers when you’ve usually never organised an event or bought flowers on this scale before. So I’ve put together this guide to give you a idea of starting points and help you to consider how much you might need to budget to get the look you desire.

Below is a list of my most requested pieces and some starting prices for these:

Personal Flowers

Bridal Bouquet...............................From £145

Buttonholes....................................From £13

Bridesmaid's bouquets..................From £85

Ceremony Flowers

Floral arch......................................From £1000

Deconstructed arch........................From £850 (may be lower for a smaller arch)

Aisle Meadows................................From £95 each

Floral urns......................................From £175 each

Hanging designs.............................From £500

Reception Flowers

Tall table design.............................From £125

Low bowl arrangement..................From £95

These costs are all very much dependent on the materials used in them, but one thing to remember is that labour costs are charged separately (usually 20-25% of the overall cost of your flowers). You can see more about labour costs and what they cover here.

So let’s say for example that you have a budget of £2500 - £3000 - what does that look like?

You will usually be able to include your personal flowers (bouquets, buttonholes etc.), some ceremony flowers (perhaps pew ends or aisle meadows and something for your registry table or a couple of urns for your ceremony area) and table flowers for your reception. This budget wouldn’t generally cover a big installation but there are options if you want to make more of an impact such as a partially covered moongate or similar perhaps a deconstructed arch.

How about if you have £3000 - £5000 to spend?

Well if you have this amount you will be looking at all of the above plus you can probably include a larger installation such as a statement arch or similar to give a lovely impact on your wedding day as well as some additional smaller elements.

And if I have over £7000 to spend?

The sky’s the limit and we can design you a fabulous bespoke dream day.
